About Joyce Jesko/ Founder, CEO

joyce2Joyce graduated from Little Flower High School for Girls in 1971, 1999 HR course. Joyce is married to a wonderful husband, friend, and partner, Paul Jesko. They have a son together, Jonathan.

Joyce and her husband owned Cobra Wire and Cable for 17years, eventualy sold to NYSE company.
Joyce’s family and extended family live in Philadelphia, West Chester, Mountain Top, and Tennessee. She is very active with all of her family members.  Joyce has been a board member for Laurel House, an abused shelter for women and their children. She has chaired and co-chaired their yearly fund-raiser Gala: These Gala’s have raised more than $250,000.00 to date.

Activities with Little Flower:

• Active in “Preserve our Tradition”
• Helped Organize 60- 70Year Anniversary Open House
• Nominated for 2001 Distinguished Alumna

Board member of the NBA Credit Union, located in Bristol, Pennsylvania. The board was instrumental in building a new facility costing 1.2 million dollars; the move took place Sept. 2, 2002.

2001 to Present – Nominated for and won Pennsylvania’s Top 50 Women in Business.  This award was presented by then Governor Tom Ridge.
Founded a non-profit organization, called Fairy Godmothers they help young high school girls attend their proms that otherwise would not be able to attend because of some kind of hardship. For the prom season, 2002, Fairy Godmothers were able to help over 250 young girls in the Philadelphia area alone.  The Fairy Godmothers has grown since 2001 to 6 Sister Branches:  Rochester, New York, Virginia Beach, VA, Delaware, Ft. Myers, FL, Phoenix, AZ, and our newest location in 2013 Reading/Wyomissing PA

Joyce states that every large city should have an organization like “Fairy Godmothers”  contact her if interested.


LisaMarie Heyward: President

lisa_marieLisa Marie Heyward  is currently the President of Fairy Godmothers Inc. She began as a volunteer for FGM  over 7  years ago.  Lisa Marie has also served on the Board of Directors for Lutheran Settlement House. She has been a mentor to students in the Philadelphia School District for over 20 years for various organizations: Philly Reads, Big Sisters, Teen Moms  and Philly Futures to name a few.  Lisa is a recipient of  the MS Leadership Award, Government Employee of the Year Award, Prudential Volunteer of the Quarter Award, Prudential Vice President Award , The Cosby Culbreath Award and the The Philadelphia African American Book Club Leadership Award. Lisa currently has a MBA from Rosemont College and plans to pursue her PH.D in the future. Lisa Marie is the mother of one son.

barbBarbara (Barbie) has been a board member since Joyce (her sister) had the idea of Fairy Godmothers in 2001.  Barbie is active during prom season.

Deborah Litman- Goch
DebDeb Litman-Goch is a Human Resources professional with more than 20 years of HR experience.  Deb is the newest member of Fairy Godmothers, Inc. and found kindred spirits when she volunteered during the 2013 prom season.  When not working, Deb is passionate about Pinterest, travel and planning outrageous parties.  Deb lives in West Chester, PA, with her husband, Marty.

Fairy Godmothers were featured on channel 10 news, channel 6 news, channel 17, KYW news radio, Wally Kennedy show, and The Ananda Louis Show from New York. They were also featured in Redbook and Ladies Home Journal in their June and September issues.

2003 – Fairy Godmothers were featured on the NBC 10 Show, Fox news, WB17 and Your Morning on CN8. They were featured in Lucky magazine in Aprils issue. We helped 655 young girls dreams come true to make them feel like a Princess for the 2003 Prom season. Fairy Godmothers do make dreams come true!

2007 – Fairy Godmothers Prom Fair’s were covered by Fox 29 news, Action news 6, NBC 10, All That and More with Tracy Davison and KYW 3 also, they were featured in The Philadelphia Tribune, and The Leader newspapers. They were in February’s issue of Kiwi magazine and December’s issue of Philadelphia magazine. The annual Cobra Wire & Cable charity golf open raised 12,000.00 dollars for Fairy Godmothers in 2007 held at Five Ponds County Club.
